Our antique
furniture upholstery includes wing
fireside chairs, drop end sofas, Victorian chairs, deep
buttoning.
We can completely restore, re-upholster and recover any
piece of furniture in keeping with the character of the
furniture. We use traditional materials for antique
furniture, which includes English black and white webbing,
coil springs, hessians, fibre, hair, cotton felt, tacks.
Before we re-upholster and recover furniture we check all
joints of the framework and repair or replace where
necessary, using hardwood, fixed either by dowels or screws
and bead glue. Old tack holes are filled with glue and
sawdust. French polishing is available to restore and
refinish any show wood. We have a wide range of fabrics and
trimmings available to compliment antique furniture.
Our modern
furniture upholstery includes
armchairs, sofas, 3 piece suites, sofa-beds, recliners.
We can replace broken springs, webbing, spring units and
frames, re-fit buttons. Foam replaced where necessary using
flame retardant foam (combustion modified). Cushion
interiors, any shape or size can be supplied and fitted
using latex, foam, feather/down, luxbond, hollow fibre
fillings. New castors supplied and fitted. Suites and
armchairs can be raised and fitted with wooden feet for
comfort or for a more contemporary look. Scatter cushions
and arm-covers tailored to fit. Pouffes and footstools can
be made to any size or style. French polishing and modern
finishes are available for any show wood. We also carry out
insurance repairs. We are able to work on site in your home
or work place. There is a wide range of contemporary fabrics
and trimmings available for modern furniture.
For our dining
chairs upholstery we can provide a
complete restoration service for modern and antique dining
chairs and side chairs. Restoration would include repairs/
re-glueing the framework, re-polishing, re-upholstering and
recovering so that they are fully restored to their former
glory.
For our commercial
upholstery bar seating and
bar stools can be fully restored or supplied and fitted. We
are able to work on site. A wide range of contract fabrics
and materials can be supplied meeting crib 5 specifications.
